Tucked just off our bedroom is the tiniest room in the house—but it also happens to be my favorite. From the moment we moved in, I saw the potential in this sunlit nook and set out to turn it into a multifunctional space that could keep pace with my everyday rhythm, from early-morning workouts to late-afternoon Zoom calls.
It all began with a plan. Because square footage was at a premium, I took a very intentional approach to how every inch would function. I laid it all out ahead of time, sketching where each piece would go and ensuring the space could comfortably accommodate both my Peloton sessions and my work deadlines.
One corner holds just enough room for a yoga mat to stretch out alongside the bike. The tulip desk—one of my favorite finds—doubles as a workspace and a cozy board game table when the mood strikes. And for the digital moments (which let’s face it, are endless), I positioned my computer setup to make the most of the room’s natural light, giving me a consistently flattering Zoom background without needing to rearrange things every call.
As I began layering in furniture and accessories, I tried to be as intentional with function as I was with form. The Lulu and Georgia dresser, kindly gifted by the brand, pulls double duty: it stores my workout gear and my hair tools, which I cleverly rigged through the back of the drawers so I can plug them in without clutter. On the wall, a streamlined towel rack neatly holds my yoga accessories and keeps everything within arm’s reach.
Color played a big role, too. I opted for a soft, warm pink on the walls, which instantly made the space feel serene. A cushioned meditation pillow in a complementary hue now lives by the window, inviting a few quiet moments of mindfulness throughout the day. Meanwhile, the handcrafted Grovemade wood desk accessories add a sense of calm elegance to the workspace, creating a backdrop that’s both beautiful and inspiring.
This little room may be small in size, but it’s big on intention. Every detail has a purpose. It’s a space that brings me balance, joy, and a surprising amount of peace—no matter what the day holds.
